Windows Font Smoother...
The Window Font Smoother is one of several useful utilities not included with Windows 95. To enjoy the benefit of anti-aliased text you must install a free font smoothing program from the Microsoft Typography team. Users of Windows 98 and users of the Microsoft Plus! pack do not need this utility as it is already on your computer.
Font smoothing works by adding intermediate colored pixels to the corners, curves and diagonals of characters in order to make them appear smoother and less jagged than they would otherwise. This greatly increases readability and clarity in such applications as your web browser and word processor.
To download the font smoothing program, click on the link below. This approximate size is 170KB and should only take a few minutes to transfer. Once the download is complete, launch the self-extraction application.
